In network marketing, nothing is ever handed to you on a platter, but it is placed within your reach. Here’s how, with a little bit of stretching, you can enjoy phenomenal succes in your home-based business.

Last week we talked about why duplication is one of the most valuable keys to success you’ll ever possess. This week’s topic is a follow-on, and has a lot to do with expectations.

Simple: Most aren’t sales and marketing pros to begin with, and the system their team employs isn’t one they can easily duplicate.

Our team’s story is different.

What we do in order to be successful is so simple, anyone can do it and get the same results.

But there’s a rub:

You’ve got to want it.

Nothing worth having is ever handed to you on a plate. But it is placed within your reach — even if that means you have to stretch for it.

Are you ready to stretch a little for big time success?

Here are three steps to get you there from here:

1. Get clear on what you want. Do you want to be a six-figure earner by January 1, 2013? There’s a system in place for helping you achieve that. Would you prefer instead to make just enough for groceries and gas every month? Totally doable. In fact, whatever your goal, the first step to success is getting clear.
2. Now that you have your goal, share it with your team — ideally the person that introduced you to your opportunity — and ask him or her to strategize with you on what you need to do every week to reach your goal. A good upline leader will know exactly what those steps are, and will hold your feet to the fire as you set out to accomplish them.
3. Goal in sight, strategy in mind, it’s time to get busy. Hold yourself to a higher standard, and ask your team to hold you accountable. Use the phone, be in touch, ask questions, get guidance. The beauty of network marketing is that you rely on your network for success, and vice versa. Take advantage of this.
